Pregnancy: 29 Weeks ... Hello New House!

How far along? 29 Weeks 2 days.... Holy Cow, where has time gone!
Total weight gain/loss: Baby boy is putting on weight (Doesn't it sound better that way, haha!) I go to the doctor next week, so we will get an update then.
Maternity clothes? Wearing my gap maternity jeans & a size up from my normal Target V-neck
Stretch Marks? So far looking good on the belly.
Sleep: I am sleeping less and less.
Best moment(s) this week: It has been a very full week! Cheerleading tryouts from Wednesday - Friday.  Tryouts are very emotional, especially for the pregnant coach! I am very excited for our new teams.  We have been moving this week, too! We slept at our new house for the first time Friday night.  It is a crazy thing.  Shawn came up from San Antonio to help.  Everyone busted their booties to help us pull it off, but everything is moved.  Sam's friends and their wives are awesome!!! My mom and stepdad came and my friends came to help too.  My mom/friends ended up more of keeping me distracted, so that I would quit crying/working.  I have been a wee bit emotional, and I apparently I greatly struggle with sitting still.
Miss Anything? I miss working however hard I want to.  This week has really shown me how stubborn I am.  I never thought that word described me, but I realized as I was supposed to be sitting down resting and was instead lifting things around that I don't sit down really.
Movement: Owie yes! This boy is crazypants.  He thinks my ribs are a foot rest.
Food cravings:  Milk!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anything making you queasy or sick: My heartburn makes me way sick if I don't catch it!  I can't eat a lot before bed.
Gender: Boy
Labor Signs: Braxton Hicks have started to make their appearance.
Symptoms: Heartburn, sore feet, exhaustion, a little bit of nausea, dizziness, HUNGRY, breaking out, my hair is shedding... ok I make this sound awful, but really I do like being pregnant! :) I'm just a little worn out.
Belly Button in or out? It's decided to be an innie again.
Wedding rings on or off? On not swelling
Happy or Moody most of the time:  I don't call it moody. I call it emotional.  I cried a few times this week, but I have to say it's been an emotional one!
Looking forward to: Having the house put away :) at some point.

Okay, so moving while pregnant is a crazy idea (especially if you are a bit of a control freak). I thought it would be great and easy since I couldn't physically move anything.  However, I overdid it constantly because I felt guilty. I cried because I felt so overwhelmed. Oh well, you live. You learn and now, it's all moved! Now, we just need a nursery! Haha! I cannot wait to get that all put together.

I, also, want to share something great Sam and I have chosen to do!  We gave up TV for Lent.  We decided that we really needed to spend our time together before the baby comes, and we realized that we spend way too much time watching the TV instead of being productive.  We rely on it far too much for relaxation.  Since we were moving anyways, I just turned off the cable. It's only been a few days and already it is a big adjustment.  I am really liking all the things it's giving us the opportunity to do.  I know that we will get it back after Lent, but I love that we are turning our focus back to God!  In the hustle and bustle of life sometimes priorities get wonky.  This has been an awesome sacrifice, and I think it definitely is what the season is all about.  Giving it up for God! :) We are truly blessed beyond words.

Pregnancy: 28 Weeks Third Trimester!

Thank you Rebekah for doing the chalkboard for me this week!

How far along? 28 Weeks 2 days
Hello Third Trimester!
Total weight gain/loss: Baby and I are up 25 pounds/
Maternity clothes? Wearing my OKC half marathon shirt and some VS sweats today.  Once the move is over, I will be back to trying to wear real clothes on the weekends.
Stretch Marks? Stomach still clear, though we have plenty of stretching left to do.
Sleep: This is a word that is becoming more elusive.  Mister Moose likes to jump and play at 2AM and again at 4AM.  If this continues, by the time he is born I should be a pro at nighttime feedings :) For real though, the sleeping is getting more challenging.
Best moment(s) this week: Child birthing class at Baylor, and our hospital tour.  It is all getting a bit more real.  Also, Sam painted the nursery this week.  It is going to be awesome! I am so excited!
Miss Anything? I miss sleeping on my stomach.
Movement: Yes, quite a strong little guy.  He has found organs, ribs, and muscles to play with this week.  I have a very tender spot inside of part of my tummy where he likes to bounce.  Crazy that something so little can make you feel so much.
Food cravings:  Pop Tarts
Anything making you queasy or sick: I cannot handle meat.  I do like meat, but a whole chicken breast makes me queasy.  Just the sight of a whole slab of it... cannot do.
Gender: Boy
Labor Signs: No, but after class I am now ready to do this!
Symptoms: Heartburn has hit pretty substantially now.  I am finding the need to pee more frequent and urgent.  I am tired... a lot.  The bottoms of my feet are sore after a long day.
Belly Button in or out? Barely in at the moment.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy and excited, though I do get moody too now more.
Looking forward to:  This week is cheer tryouts, and our move. We are also talking about giving some things up for Lent.  It could be a challenge, but an exciting one for us to tackle.  I am also now thinking forward to things like packing the hospital bag and finishing up the nursery.  We are truly blessed.

Pregnancy: 27 Weeks ... We Own a Home!

This is the first picture in our new house!  I haven't hung the board anywhere, so for now I may have to be creative.  We are trying to work on the house, so I today I kept Sam company while he did work!  We officially move everything in two weeks :) Thanks to Emily for another guest artistry, while my pulled muscle recovers it's better if someone else designs for me.

How far along? 27 Weeks 2 days
Some people consider this the third trimester, but after more reading I guess most people consider next week the third trimester.  We will go with the more widely accepted theory and go with next week.
Total weight gain/loss: Ok, Confessions of a Pregnant Girl - I have gained 25 pounds.  This was my goal for the whole nine months.  I have 13 weeks left (if we go all the way to 40), so I should expect to gain another pound each week.  This should put me just outside of the normal accepted range.  My poor husband has had to deal with me being super concerned about the numbers.  After this week's doctor's visit, I do feel differently about my view.  Number wise I have put on weight, but before pregnancy I was training for a marathon!  Doctor said to not worry because I was still on target for PERFECTLY AVERAGE! Sometimes those words are a comfort!

After reading a multitude of pregnancy blogs where the blogger is tiny, beautiful, and never ever gains more than 20 pounds, I have decided that I am over complaining about this issue.  I am real! Thank you all for your continued love and support as I have struggled with this part of pregnancy.  Now with three months left, I will continue to do the best I can with eating and walking, but I have to follow doctor's orders and take care of myself and the moose!  :)
Maternity clothes? Elastic Non-Maternity Old Navy Sweats & a baggy cheer tank top in this picture!
Stretch marks? My stomach seems clear still, but I spotted some on my chest this week.
Sleep: I have been so worn out this week that I have been sleeping pretty well.  I have started waking up earlier unintended, though!
Best moment(s) this week: We CLOSED on OUR house this week!!!!
Miss Anything? Hmm... Yes, I miss being on the beach hahah!
Movement:  He likes to rock and roll!
Food cravings:  Strawberry milkshake
Anything making you queasy or sick: No :)
Gender: Boy
Labor Signs: Haven't had any Braxton Hicks yet.
Symptoms: The pulled muscle is really rough right now.  I am beginning to see my ankles swell, and my energy has faded.
Belly Button in or out? Well, it's funny because sometimes it's flat and others still in.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Hello Mommy Waterworks!
Looking forward to:  Move! Move! Move! I cannot wait to live in our new home :)  Probably helps that I am not allowed to lift anything, haha.  I have the BEST husband ever!

Thanks Emily and Elliott for doing this weeks board!!!
(Side note about the new house: Those brass outlet covers are going!)

Stay tuned for pictures of our new home improvement projects too!  Sam has been working his tail off to get us move in ready.  I just want to say: we are incredibly blessed... truly!
