Pregnancy: 26 Weeks ... Baby Can Open His Eyes

How far along? 26 Weeks 2 Days... Next week is officially the third trimester! Wow!!!
Total weight gain/loss: I go to the doctor's this week, and we will see what the damage is so far.
Maternity clothes? Yep!  Unless I am wearing sweatpants, I am always wearing maternity clothes.  Loving my Gap jeans that have the lower elastic right now, but they are sort of hard to shimmy into without belt loops.
Stretch marks? I haven't spotted any so far.  Hoping Vitamin E oil will save me.
Sleep: This part is becoming an adventure each day.  Some nights I sleep great... Others are a rolling back and forth adventure.
Best moment(s) this week: What a week! We had Cheer Mania (our big cheerleading fundraiser), and I was gone from home four nights this week, sheesh!  We did have fun, but I was worn out.  I greatly enjoyed getting the text message this week that said we were scheduled to close on our house! Cannot believe it's really happening.
Miss Anything? The hardest part for me through this whole pregnancy is not being able to go and go like I'm used to.  With our move coming up, this is hitting me very hard!
Movement:  He likes loud noise (like games & cheerleaders).  He like Daddy singing at him.  He likes the occasional soda.  He likes my bedtime!
Food cravings:  Nothing much.... I guess I really am digging Italian right now!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not so much! Thank goodness!
Gender: Boy
Labor Signs: no... (I hope this is the answer for a while)
Symptoms: Hello new symptoms!  Where has all my energy gone?  Oh after being on my feet all day, are those swollen toes? I reached over to put something in the car... and oh gosh, is that a pulled muscle?  What is happening to my ribs? Haha this kid is expanding!
Belly Button in or out? flat! Arg! I have hit the point of flat.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy, but I am worn out lately!
Looking forward to:  Holy smokes! We are closing on our house tomorrow! Now, we have to move, and once we move we are going to do Moose's nursery! There is a lot to look forward to right now.

Just 10 weeks ago.... Hmmm. I think I am a little bit bigger now!

Pregnancy: 25 Weeks

How far along? 25 Weeks 2 Days... We have right around 100 days until our due date.  It seems crazy that we are almost in double digit countdown!
Total weight gain/loss: Let's just wait and see at the next doctor's visit. This question is becoming more annoying each week, lol.
Maternity clothes?  I don't know how other people in their second trimester are still wearing regular clothes!  I cannot imagine trying to shimmy into my regular clothes right now!
Stretch marks? Praying like crazy that these just don't show up.
Sleep: Sleeping deeply for 2 hour stretches... think my body is starting to gear up for baby.
Best moment(s) this week: My husband making up lyrics for a lullaby.  We did not know the words to "Hush Little Baby," so Sam made up his own.  This sent me into a fit of giggles, and little moose - he just Loves to hear his daddy! That boy kicks a storm when it's Daddy talking.
Miss Anything? I miss Sunshine! The weather yesterday made me realize how much I LOVE sunshine!
Movement:  Yes!
Food cravings:  I am really surprised that I haven't had any particular cravings?  Who knows!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really!
Gender: Boy
Labor Signs: no
Symptoms: I am not a person who has had to many aches and pains in life in general.  (Thank goodness!) But at this point my back is so very achy at the end of the day.  I just lean forward over an ottoman or try my little massage pillow.  Everything else seems ok for now.
Belly Button in or out? in... stay in!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy...except for the random tears? "I don't know why I'm crying!!" Yes, yes... this happens.
Looking forward to:  Closing on our house soon... Hopefully that will relieve some stress!

Pregnancy: 24 Weeks ... Over a Foot Long!

How far along? 24 Weeks 2 Days
Total weight gain/loss: last check was 17 pounds up... I have been riding the stationary bike here at home and walking the dogs with Sam a ton this week!! I have also picked up the dumbbells again, so I am feeling a little bit better about this.  I think that I've held steady.  (Also been eating a ton better)
Maternity clothes?  Yes, but I did manage to squeeze into that striped blue non-maternity skirt for a basketball game the other night, so I thought I would put it on again for my weekly picture! :)
Stretch marks? Not yet... still exfoliating with sugar scrub in the shower. I am using shea & cocoa butter lotion, plus adding vitamin E oil each day.  It's still working.
Sleep: We are dog sitting this weekend, so I can say for sure that since mom's dogs have been around sleep has been a little more elusive.  (Tonight is the last night, so hopefully we can muddle through.) Otherwise, not doing too badly.  However, I do wake up once a night to pee, and I get the strong feeling that this is only going to get worse haha.
Best moment(s) this week: This week has been chaos.  Getting back into the routine of work has been a real challenge.  One great moment this week was eating spaghetti and meatballs on Monday! ;) Sam and I also greatly enjoyed our visit with Aunt Susie this week on Wednesday.  Moose is going to be one well-dressed kiddo!
Have you told family and friends: Yes
Miss Anything? I miss the ease with which I felt well dressed. Right now I question every clothing choice because I cannot tell what is cute and what isn't!  I love this little boy being with me all the time, but I can finally say I will enjoy getting my body back for myself.
Movement:  Yes! Big movements too!  Sam has gotten to see his little feet kicking at my belly now.  It's so crazy!
Food cravings: I really enjoyed eating McAlister's this week.  It wasn't a craving persay, but I could definitely see the need to go have more of that again soon.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing this week... counting our blessings.
Have you started to show yet: Yep! And soon I think his kicks will be for the whole world to see. Gender: Manly Man
Labor Signs: no
Belly Button in or out? in... getting a little shallow. EEKS
Wedding rings on or off? On and still pretty loose. I haven't had any swelling so far.
Happy or Moody most of the time:  I would not call it moody... However, I would call it emotional and stressed.  I have been a little bit on avalanche mode this week.  Everything seems hectic with the house buying, dog sitting, curriculum planning, cheerleading tryouts planning, packing, moving, STRESSING OUT..... haha, so yes there have been some tears this week.
Weekly Wisdom: If someone else can handle it, LET THEM! (Praise the Lord that I have such a sweet husband!)
Looking forward to: Continuing to get my physical fitness routine back into the swing! I forget how important it is to me until I get a dose of it in my system.

Pregnancy: 23 Weeks ... Kick, Kick City

Special Thanks to Emily for her guest Chalkboard Art!

How far along? 23 Weeks 2 Days
Total weight gain/loss: I put on too much weight over Thanksgiving and Christmas :( I am up 17 pounds.  Means I gained 8 pounds in a month... This blog must be about honesty because it sort of kills me to admit that. I am, however, walking and getting back to exercising. [yes, it could have something to do with gaining a little too much, too fast.]  All in all, if I can STAY at this or close to it for about another month I can get back on track!
Maternity clothes?  Yes...!
Stretch marks? No, and the regiment continues!
Sleep:Today is last day of our Christmas break, so I have enjoyed as much sleeping in as I could!  Sleeping later seems to be the trick.  Hopefully, this week won't wear me out too much!
Best moment(s) this week: Hanging out with my wonderful friends & soaking up as much relaxation with my hubby as possible.
Have you told family and friends: Yes
Miss Anything? I miss laying on my back.  Watching Rebekah play on the floor with Baby Elliott this weekend made me miss that so much!
Movement:  Yes, yes, yes... This boy seems to have found his legs this week.  He is a kick machine.
Food cravings: Do not ask me why or how, but somewhere about 9:00 three nights in row I distinctly want Spaghetti and Meatballs & a Hot Fudge Sundae.  I have not indulged on this, and I don't want them mixed together or anything.  I just want one bite of one, then another of the other? Idk why
Anything making you queasy or sick: The smell of dog food bothers me a little bit, but nothing otherwise! Praise the Lord!
Have you started to show yet: Yes...
Gender: Boy
Labor Signs: no
Belly Button in or out? in, though stretching....
Wedding rings on or off? ON
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy mostly!
Weekly Wisdom: Sleep when you can! :)
Looking forward to: Getting back to a routine and back to healthy eating!!

Emily the artist brought her handsome assistant (& son) to help design this week's board!  Rebekah came with them and entertained us all. :) Thank you for a much needed girls afternoon ladies!

Tomorrow we go back to school from Christmas break.  I think it's the most depressing day for teachers everywhere.  At least we get one day before the kiddos come back.  It's crazy to think that in this semester I will be having a baby!  It just dawned on Sam earlier in the week that labor could occur at any place.  I don't mean that my husband thinks the baby will come now, just that he hadn't thought of the location of me going into labor.  In his head, I think we were just hanging out on the couch together and I say, "Oh honey, it's time to go."  Somehow it came up, though, that I could realistically go into labor in the middle of class.  Watching his face trying to comprehend this was AWESOME!

At this point I want to work until I go into labor, but we will just wait and see how it all works out.  It would be somewhat funny for one of my sophomore students to run down the hall to my husband's room.  "Mrs. Riley is having the baby!"  I can only imagine the chaos... oh what fun :)

Here's to whatever the future holds!!! :)

Six Months Ago... We said "I DO!"
Another realization occurred to me today... Tomorrow is January 7th, which means that Sam and I have been married for 6 months! We got married in July of this year in Fort Worth.  Thinking back on the day, I cannot think of one thing I would change.  Our anniversary is July 7th, and our color scheme was a very patriotic red, white, and blue.  I am truly blessed to have enjoy such an incredible wedding day! Here's my original post about our wedding and some pictures to enjoy as I remember this awesome day!

The chalkboard's original use...
One of my favorite things that we did.  In lieu of a guestbook, we got this chalkboard piggie bank.  We had pennies and skinny sharpies, and everyone signed a penny and put it in the pig for good luck.  You'd be surprised how much a person can manage to write on a penny!  It made for fun sorting through them... and at some point I am going to create a picture frame mat with them!

Our first dance song was "Forever and Ever, Amen" by Randy Travis.  I love when Sam will sing the part about "if your hair fell out, I'd love you anyways."

Our rings on top of a very sentiment filled mason jar.  Not only did this match our Texas/Fourth of July/Mason Jar Theme, but this was an awesome way to include so many of the pieces of jewelry that Sam's dad, "Big Sam," had made before he passed away.  It was a nice way to include them in the ceremony!

Thanks to so many people for all the hard work that they put into my wedding and making it everything I ever could have dreamed!

And THANK YOU ALL for keeping up with the blog!  :)
