Moose: 14 Months going on 4

How Big?:  He is a big kid! 14 months as of June 26th... I cannot believe that he is already 31+" and 24+lbs.
Clothing Size?: I love the way the 2T shirts are fitting him right now. I won't buy any pjs that are 2T, though. I am only picking up 3T because he is constantly growing. 2T shorts are still a little bit long on him. I guess he is still rocking that tall torso and short legs. GIANT FEET... I bought him size 8 nikes because I didn't want to have to buy shoes every 10 minutes, but honestly, they pretty much fit already. He could fit a 7 and maybe a few bigger 6s depending.
What/When is he eating?: Moose is a grazer. He will sit still to eat a little bit, then he wants to snack all day. Pasta is a favorite. Meat is a NO go. Grapes, blueberries, blackberries, bananas, and pineapples are pretty much the top of the list. He is working on feeding himself with a spoon, which basically, turns into him dumping yogurt on his face, but he loves it, so whatever!
Movement?: Crazy man is running, now. He is climbing on the bed, the stairs, and every chair he can find.
Milestones?: Oh so many! He kissed me for the first time. Sam was on his way out the door, and he had Moose in his arms. Sam leaned in and kissed me goodbye. Moose mimicked Sam and leaned right in and kissed me, too. MELT MY HEART! He is in this stage of mimick. He tries to do things that we do or that he sees others do. The words are coming faster and more pronounced now. I swear to goodness he said Bunny the other day.
Hardest Moment(s) of the Month: Moose is a stubborn little creature. It is is tough to see him as a baby and a big boy all at the same time. I had to discipline Moose this month.  It's becoming more common. I debate back and forth how we are going to discipline our son, but ultimately we have to do what we think is best for him. He keeps standing in the dining room chairs, and I can just see him falling off and cracking his head. I am trying to teach him about sitting, so earlier in the month we worked on it. He now 100% knows what sit down means. He was being a real stinker and kept standing. I told him, "no" and sat him down. I did this 3 times, and made him look at me. He fussed a little and I thought the stern words were plenty... until he smirked at me and stood up again. Oh man, oh man. I gave his little fanny a small swot. He cried, but he sat down. The expression "this hurts me, more than it hurts you" suddenly means so much! The whole discipline thing is for sure the hardest thing of the month, and I am thinking it will be for some time. It's all about finding what works for your kiddo, and I don't know what is going to work but we will keep praying for guidance and doing our best.
Best Moment(s) of the Month: There are so many things that we have enjoyed lately. I love taking him to the park. He wants to swing for like 20 minutes every time we are there. He is still pretty terrified of the water, so the splash park is always interesting. He and I have gone to all kinds of stores, and I love letting him run down the aisles. We are practicing not pulling on tags and leaving cans on the shelves!
Looking Forward to: The fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays! I am also looking forward to Sam and I's wedding anniversary! I am praying we get to have a date night to celebrate.

Pregnancy: 25 Weeks... What's an Acorn Squash?

How far along: 25 weeks 1 days
Total weight gain/loss: I've gained about 14 pounds. Weight = 138 pounds. This is more than other people gain, but you CANNOT judge yourself against anyone other than you. I am content that I have lasted under 140 for this long! I am 15 weeks away from due date and still have gained less than 20 pounds. I will call that a small victory. I am also trying to stay active! Keeping it up, except I don't want Baby B to come early! eeks
Maternity clothes? I am getting a little bit uncomfortable with clothes because the maternity shorts I have don't have the full belly, so they cut into my tummy. I like wearing my nikes, but the smalls are getting too tight. I guess I really am growing quite a bit.
Stretch marks? I am pleased that my water is still helpful!
Sleep: Sleeping is getting to be more challenging. It's not the aches and pains so much, but really I just feel like I can't find that super comfortable spot.
Best moment(s) this week: This week has been a little bit crazy! My mom has been gone to Colorado to a big race. We have been dog-sitting for her two big dogs... That plus Sam training three days a week. Moose and I have had great time running around. We have been on runs, to the park, to the mall, to Target, Wal-mart... Basically ALL OVER!
Have you told family and friends:Yep! We are blessed to have so many friends and family members that are excited to meet Baby Bo.
Miss Anything? I am missing the bending over not hurting! I am really starting to struggle with that part.
Movement:  Bo really gets to going after 9pm. I am feeling less somersaults and more kicks at this point.
Food cravings: I have been digggggin on some Sonic CreamSlushes! Sheesh.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  The canned dog food that my mom's dogs eat.. eesh!
Have you started to show yet: I still feel really small, but I think that I am getting bigger. Perspective is insane during round two.
Gender prediction: He is all BOY... We are excited to start on his Dodger Blue nursery.
Labor Signs: No, stay away!
Symptoms: I am tired and hungry just about all the time! I cannot keep up with the energy it seems. The ligament pain seems to have lessened lately, and I am not having as many headaches.
Belly Button in or out? Shallow innie
Wedding rings on or off? on
Happy or Moody most of the time:  I am very very happy! I am also finding myself a little more emotional.
Weekly Wisdom: Enjoy every second with your baby's because soon they will be big and defying you, haha!
Looking forward to: We are looking forward to Grandma (mom) being home! She's been gone over a week, and we are all very excited for her to come home. She has been in the mountains and hasn't even really had cell service, so we haven't gotten to chat either. Very strange for a girl who talks to her momma every day.

Pregnancy: 23 & 24 Weeks Summer is here

How far along: 23 weeks and some days in the top picture, 24 weeks and 3 days in the next one, today 24 weeks and 5 days
Total weight gain/loss: Weight = 136, I am up 12 pounds. Seems like a big jump from my last post, but the baby is over a pound, and I know that I am still feeling really well! I am not overeating or lounging, so there's no stress by me on this one.
Maternity clothes? I found two pairs of shorts I had to buy last summer when I hadn't lost all my weight. They aren't maternity, so they don't have that awful elastic band.... Elastic is great in winter, but maternity shorts are not really my friend. These are even still baggy, which makes me feel like a super woman.
Stretch marks? Nothing new to report, still exfoliating and drinking lots and lots of water
Sleep: I am starting to struggle even more with sleeping. The tossing and turning and waking to pee is pretty much the normal... The abductor/adductor pain is pretty consistent when I roll over on my sides.
Best moment(s) this week: We have had such a good two weeks! Summer is here, and we have been to the park and the pool over and over. Moose is learning so much, so fast!
Miss Anything? I miss a good cold daiquiri :)  Finally missing that!
Movement:  He has been moving like a crazy man this week. He loves to kick Moose when I am holding him. It's a small glimpse of my future.
Food cravings: SALT WATER TAFFY! I was craving it for days, but then I lucked out because Sprout's actually had some fresh taffy.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  I cannot handle the smell of dog food.
Have you started to show yet: I wore a baggy tanktop today, and I still sort of wondered if I looked pregnant or chunky lol!
Labor Signs: No and continuing to pray that this doesn't happen for a long time!
Symptoms: The heavy pelvis pain and ligament pains are really tough, but I know that  they are normal so I am pushing through. Tired, suppppper hungry, a  few headaches lately, and very thirsty.
Belly Button in or out? Shallow innie
Wedding rings on or off? on
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Some of both over the course of the last two weeks.
Looking forward to: Enjoying even more summer days!

Pregnancy: 22 Weeks

How far along: 22 weeks 3 days
Total weight gain/loss: I've gained 7 pounds. Weight = 131 pounds... That's a heck of a gain from last week, but I also have tried to take it much easier after out little hospital scare this week. Hoping to get back to my yoga next week and keep the weight from jumping up while I'm still in the second trimester.
Maternity clothes? I am mostly wearing maternity at this point, but I can still wear some of my regular clothes, too. (Especially now that summer break has officially begun.) I am in love with that tank top. It's an Old Navy find, and I wish I had gotten another of their ribbed maternity tanks. The shorts are something my mom and I got at a resale event, but I think they are a Target brand.
Stretch marks? Nothing new to report.
Sleep: I have good nights and not so good nights. Really just depends on what I eat before bed I think... No more chick at at bedtime for this momma!!!
Best moment(s) this week: Schools out for summer... Schools out forever! I can just hear that song in my head! We are officially on summer break! (I won't take into account that both Sam and I are working summer school in some fashion or the amount of trainings we have over the break.)
Miss Anything? This was a pretty good week, and I know more things are going to get tough as time goes along. Trying to be grateful for all that I have.
Movement:  Yep! He wiggles and shakes. I know he will be giving me big kicks with crazy feet sticking out bumps soon enough.
Food cravings: I am so surprised, but I haven't really had any major cravings with this pregnancy.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  The smell of breakfast casserole this morning was a bit much, but I don't know what else really would do it.
Have you started to show yet: Just getting bigger and bigger...
Labor Signs: So um... yeah. I had to go to the hospital this week to be sure that I wasn't in preterm labor. (I wasn't!) But I was having some contractions. TOO EARLY SON! I am so very grateful that it turned out to be nothing big. Doctors say to make sure I am going to the bathroom more often because this little man is low.
Symptoms: LIGAMENT PAIN. I have a heavy feeling in my pelvis. I am sleepy tired a lot. Just lots of little aches right now.
Belly Button in or out? Shallow innie
Wedding rings on or off? on
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Pretty Happy this week... but just a bit emotional not so much moody.
Weekly Wisdom: SIT DOWN and let other people do things for you. You are growing a human.
Looking forward to: More days by the pool and getting sun on this belly!

I wore my mom's maternity dress from the 80s to school for our To Kill A Mockingbird picnic!

My boys take good care of me!

Hospital time... Hope it's not time for that again for a good long while!

Moose: One Year Pictures!

We just adore our photographer. Her name is Maegan, and she is totally cool and easy to shoot with gal. She drove about an hour to meet us so that it would be convenient for us. (We had already rescheduled because I had the flu.) She chases kids, listens to them scream, calms you down, and still manages to get great stuff.

For Moose's one year pictures, I asked if we could bring along my mom and stepdad. Moose was a little resistant, so my favorites are our family pictures. Though, she did manage to catch some of my little man's facial expressions that I just love!

Here's the link to Maegan's Photography Page called Mae Rachelle Photography.

These are some of my absolute favorites from this shoot!
