Pregnancy: 35 Weeks
35 Weeks? How is that even possible? We can count down to his due date in days... 33 days as of today. Everyone seems to think that he will be here before then, but I just keep saying it's all in the Lord's hands. Not knowing is CRAZY!
How far along? 35 Weeks 2 days
Total weight gain/loss: Approx. 40 pounds.... I will have some work to do when this baby is born! Maternity clothes? I squished into this neon yellow dress to celebrate Easter today. Horizontal stripes can be dangerous, but I think this one is pretty cute today. (My opinion on a given outfit changes daily.) Also, after looking at last week's picture compared to this one, I have no clue why the bump looks so oblong. Moose must be doing some acrobatics because last week I looked round, now I feel sort of squashed looking... maybe it's the stripes lol.
Stretch Marks? Clear belly... keep on Vitamin E.
Sleep: Some nights I sleep pretty decently, but others it's practicing for the many nighttime feedings I will be doing soon. I haven't had too many leg cramps; it's mostly the heartburn that wakes me up.
Best moment(s) this week: I really enjoyed our Team E Rally this week. I was unable to stay the whole time, since my body is kicking my butt. Our girls looked great! I was so proud of them.
Having Friday off was awesome! Since Friday was Good Friday, we had the Uverse installed... What a crazy thing to have Internet again. (I am blogging from my own house for the first time in weeks.) Sam & I sat down and watched a movie together last night.
Miss Anything? Just missing my speed and energy.
Movement: He has food his FEET... and his sweet (giant) feed have found my ribs!
Food cravings: Yes please... Really I haven't had any crazy food cravings. I thought I would be all about odd foods and such, but really that just hasn't been my thing.
Anything making you queasy or sick: The heartburn is really makes me feel no beuno.
Gender: All Moose
Labor Signs: Hello Braxton Hicks... These contractions don't hurt, but they are so uncomfortable. It's easy to be paranoid as a first timer, but I think I am getting the hang of what's what. I guess that's why the body practices. Symptoms: Good news is... I think he has moved off my back nerves enough to let that nerve get almost healed!!! Praise the Lord. It's still a bit uncomfortable, but no where near the pins and needles pain I was in last week. I have crazy heartburn & quite a few burps (excuse me). I am still swelling, so I know I must retaining an epic amount of water. I am worn out!
Belly Button in or out? Flat as a Pancake
Wedding rings on or off? Officially off and being worn around my neck. So SAD!
Happy or Moody most of the time? Happy & Moody. Then Happy. And pretty Moody.
Looking forward to: This week I will be celebrating with my cheerleading baby shower. I am so blessed to have so many great supporters. I am looking forward to my students being done with their English EOC testing! That has been a source of great stress for me because I am so worried about them and their scores. Thank goodness we test on Wednesday and Thursday and put it behind us.
HAPPY EASTER to you and your kin!
Lent Reflection:
As I have been posting, we have up television and cokes for Lent. The cokes were Sam's crutch, while I was (unwilling to admit) becoming addicted to TV. The timing lined up just right with the move, so we didn't bother to set up service at the new house until this weekend.
It is absolutely crazy how many things you can get done, when you turn that glowing box off. I can say for certain that giving up the TV made me closer to my husband, my dogs, my family, and the LORD! Amen. I stopped tuning out and was engaged in life again. Now that I am hurting and on minimum activity, I will probably resume watching a bit again, but I have seen the other side and I understand that those shows will wait on the DVR as long as they need to. There is no rush to watch my shows.... I want to instead be an active wife and soon mother. It's been a really cool evolution. I could go without a lot of technology and be ok. Heck, probably be happier! Sometimes I wish the world was (as a whole) less dependent on Facebook & cell phones.
I highly suggest unplugging the TV for a week, and enjoying your family dinners at the table for a change! So many folks don't do this anymore. I am blessed beyond words that this Lent season was able to be so fulfilling. Praise the LORD because he is RISEN!
Not sure why my comments aren't posting so if you get 3 I'm sorry lol. I stumbled on your blog and I think we have the exact same due date! May 3, 2013?! I am also doing the chalkboards an have a VERY similar pregnancy experience as you! I am also a teacher, but in NJ. So crazy!!!
