Pregnancy: 29 Weeks ... Hello New House!

How far along? 29 Weeks 2 days.... Holy Cow, where has time gone!
Total weight gain/loss: Baby boy is putting on weight (Doesn't it sound better that way, haha!) I go to the doctor next week, so we will get an update then.
Maternity clothes? Wearing my gap maternity jeans & a size up from my normal Target V-neck
Stretch Marks? So far looking good on the belly.
Sleep: I am sleeping less and less.
Best moment(s) this week: It has been a very full week! Cheerleading tryouts from Wednesday - Friday.  Tryouts are very emotional, especially for the pregnant coach! I am very excited for our new teams.  We have been moving this week, too! We slept at our new house for the first time Friday night.  It is a crazy thing.  Shawn came up from San Antonio to help.  Everyone busted their booties to help us pull it off, but everything is moved.  Sam's friends and their wives are awesome!!! My mom and stepdad came and my friends came to help too.  My mom/friends ended up more of keeping me distracted, so that I would quit crying/working.  I have been a wee bit emotional, and I apparently I greatly struggle with sitting still.
Miss Anything? I miss working however hard I want to.  This week has really shown me how stubborn I am.  I never thought that word described me, but I realized as I was supposed to be sitting down resting and was instead lifting things around that I don't sit down really.
Movement: Owie yes! This boy is crazypants.  He thinks my ribs are a foot rest.
Food cravings:  Milk!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anything making you queasy or sick: My heartburn makes me way sick if I don't catch it!  I can't eat a lot before bed.
Gender: Boy
Labor Signs: Braxton Hicks have started to make their appearance.
Symptoms: Heartburn, sore feet, exhaustion, a little bit of nausea, dizziness, HUNGRY, breaking out, my hair is shedding... ok I make this sound awful, but really I do like being pregnant! :) I'm just a little worn out.
Belly Button in or out? It's decided to be an innie again.
Wedding rings on or off? On not swelling
Happy or Moody most of the time:  I don't call it moody. I call it emotional.  I cried a few times this week, but I have to say it's been an emotional one!
Looking forward to: Having the house put away :) at some point.

Okay, so moving while pregnant is a crazy idea (especially if you are a bit of a control freak). I thought it would be great and easy since I couldn't physically move anything.  However, I overdid it constantly because I felt guilty. I cried because I felt so overwhelmed. Oh well, you live. You learn and now, it's all moved! Now, we just need a nursery! Haha! I cannot wait to get that all put together.

I, also, want to share something great Sam and I have chosen to do!  We gave up TV for Lent.  We decided that we really needed to spend our time together before the baby comes, and we realized that we spend way too much time watching the TV instead of being productive.  We rely on it far too much for relaxation.  Since we were moving anyways, I just turned off the cable. It's only been a few days and already it is a big adjustment.  I am really liking all the things it's giving us the opportunity to do.  I know that we will get it back after Lent, but I love that we are turning our focus back to God!  In the hustle and bustle of life sometimes priorities get wonky.  This has been an awesome sacrifice, and I think it definitely is what the season is all about.  Giving it up for God! :) We are truly blessed beyond words.

  1. Moving while you’re pregnant is a great idea. Isn’t it good to welcome your baby in a new home? It’s hard to move in a new home if you already have a baby to babysit. It’ll be hard for you and the rest of the family. ->Armandina Skerl

  2. Moving into a new house must be really stressing you out, but please try your best not to. Just take it one day at a time. I am actually pleased to know that even though you’re going through an emotional roller coaster of child bearing, you still sound truly excited about your new angel and your new house. That is great news!

  3. Armandina- I am definitely glad we got the move done before the baby arrives! We are excited that we have gotten to settle in a bit before he arrives.

Sage - We have been thrilled with the new house & cannot wait to have our sweet boy call these walls home!

Thank you both for the sweet comments :)
